You can make a day trip to Cradle Mountain, or go Cable Hang Gliding, Walking and bike tracks cris cross the city. Parks and nature observation posts encourage you to get out and about, and the Lavender farm and vineyards within the hours drive provide opportunities for healthy fun. Trout fishing lakes and Rivers, even snow skiing may be in the offing if the weather has been 'right'. Otherwise you can sneak to a country bakery, maybe two! Try Evandale or Longford for your treats.
