Your health is better after a trip to Tasmania

Our night air may be tainted by winter woodfires occasionally, but on the whole if you base your holiday around Launceston you'll give yourself a chance to become invigorated year round. You can make a day trip to Cradle Mountain, or go Cable Hang Gliding, Walking and bike tracks cris cross the city. Parks and nature observation posts encourage you to get out and about, and the Lavender farm and vineyards within the hours drive provide opportunities for healthy fun. Trout fishing lakes and Rivers, even snow skiing may be in the offing if the weather has been 'right'. Otherwise you can sneak to a country bakery, maybe two! Try Evandale or Longford for your treats.

Grand old properties, those of our 'landed gentry' from two centuries of occupation, show off a way of life which is surrounded in romance and intrigue. Go to Woolmers Inn or Brickendon for those sort of outings.
