| Shopping is fun in Launceston because the range of provisions demanded by the sophisticated and somewhat well-to-do locals. Many fashionable stores cater to the tastes of Tasmanians who, but for perhaps lack of time might otherwise hop Bass Strait and spend a day or two in Melbourne. Launceston may actually cater to a more demanding and perhaps larger population base than Hobart, so in many respects, being fab food, great clothes and smart monkeys(!) you could prepare to enjoy at least a few hours in the compact CBD. |
